MAIN BOULEVARDPARK
Corner plot

A corner plot touches two streets, which can mean more light and easier access. It often carries a higher asking price, so check the extra setback rules and whether the second street is actually built.

Schematic only. Not a map of any real scheme or an available plot.

3 Marla to 1 Kanal: what to compare

The squares are drawn in proportion to plot area, with a kanal commonly treated as 20 marla. A marla is not measured identically in every scheme, so ask for the plot area in square feet in writing.

3 Marla plots

The smallest size most buyers consider. Every foot counts, so compare the permitted covered area, setbacks and frontage against your family plan before you compare prices.

Same marla count can still mean a different frontage and depth. Ask for the exact dimensions.

Plot types

Possession, development and payment terms

These labels are used loosely in the market. Use them as starting questions and ask for the actual status of the specific plot in writing. We do not claim every type is available.

With possession

Means

The plot can be handed over so you can occupy or build, once dues and conditions are met.

Ask

Whether possession is physical and documented, and what charges apply at handover.

Non-possession

Means

The plot is allotted or booked but not yet handed over, often because development is incomplete.

Ask

The communicated possession timeline, in writing, and what happens if it slips.

Developed

Means

Roads, sewerage and utilities are meant to be in place around the plot.

Ask

Which services actually work today, and which are only on the map.

Developing

Means

Work in the scheme or block is still under way, so timelines and costs can change.

Ask

The approved layout, the development schedule and any extra development charges.

Installment plots

Read the full payment schedule before the first payment. Ask about surcharges, what happens on a missed installment and when the transfer is made.

Ready-to-build plots

A plot you can build on soon needs clear possession, an approved boundary and working access. Confirm building rules and approval needs for your plan.

Plot position

Corner, park-facing or main road?

Position changes how a plot lives and how it is priced. Tap the numbered points in the drawing at the top for a short note on each, then check the rows below.

Corner plot

Gains

Two street sides, often more light and easier access.

Check

Extra setback rules, and whether the second street is built.

Park-facing

Gains

Open outlook and no building directly opposite.

Check

That the park is reserved on the approved layout and its development status.

Main road or boulevard

Gains

Visibility, access and a wider frontage street.

Check

Road width, noise and traffic, and whether the road is built or only planned.

Localities and societies

Know what you are comparing

In Lahore, people name a plot by a mix of areas, societies, phases, blocks and roads, and these are not the same thing. The names below are commonly searched for residential plots. We publish no rankings, prices or predictions, and being listed here does not mean a plot is available or approved.

  • DHA Lahore

    Authority society

Organised in phases. Confirm the exact phase, block and whether you are buying from an allottee or a resale seller.

  • Bahria Town Lahore

    Private society

Divided into sectors and blocks. Ask for the block, plot number and the status of dues and possession.

  • Bahria Orchard

    Private scheme

A separate scheme from Bahria Town Lahore, with its own phases. Check the phase and block, not just the name.

  • LDA City and LDA Avenue

    LDA-named schemes

Confirm which scheme, phase and block applies, and whether the plot is an original allotment or a resale.

  • Johar Town and Wapda Town

    Established towns

Plots often change hands as resales, so the ownership history and transfer papers matter most.

  • Valencia Town

    Established society

Check the block, plot number and utility status, and confirm the area measure used.

  • Lake City

    Housing scheme

Ask for the sector and block, the development state and the written approval status of that part.

  • Central Park, Park View City, Fazaia, Al Kabir Town

    Housing schemes

Each has its own approval and development history. Verify the specific phase or block before you pay.

  • Raiwind Road

    Road corridor

A road, not a society. Several schemes are described as being on or near it, so always ask which scheme and block.

Plot buyer checklist

Verify before you pay

Print it, copy it or tick it on your phone at the site visit. Four groups: the site, the scheme, the seller and the money.

A checklist is not a legal verification or a survey. For title, approvals or boundary questions, ask a qualified lawyer or surveyor.

Documents and approvals

Five questions every plot buyer should ask

Public advisories from the Lahore Development Authority repeatedly stress approved layouts, buying an actual plot rather than a file, and checking the specific plot. Requirements differ between schemes, so treat these as a base.

  1. Is the scheme approved, and is this plot inside it?

Ask for the approval letter and approved layout, then place your plot number on that map. Approval of a larger scheme does not by itself prove the status of your plot or block.

  2. Is the plot free of holds?

Ask whether the plot is mortgaged to the authority, or sits on land reserved for parks, schools or other public use.

  3. Who is selling, and with what authority?

Match the seller's identity to the ownership and allotment papers, and ask for written authority if someone acts for the owner.

  4. What does transfer need?

Ask which transfer steps, fees and taxes apply to this plot and this society. Confirm with the relevant authority, not only the seller.

  5. What is possession and what is owed?

Separate a plot you can use now from a booking or allotment not yet handed over, and get every due and charge in writing.

Questions

Buying a residential plot in Lahore: common questions

How can I find residential plots for sale in Lahore?

Decide your size, locality and budget, then share them with us through the form on this page. We tell you what we can assist with and confirm current details directly. Always verify the exact plot yourself before paying.

Which plot sizes are commonly considered?

Buyers commonly look at 3, 5, 7 and 10 marla and 1 kanal plots, and some schemes offer larger sizes. The sizes available depend on the specific scheme and block.

What should I compare between a 5 marla and a 10 marla plot?

Compare frontage and depth, permitted covered area, setbacks, your building plan and the total cost including development and transfer, not only the headline price.

What is the difference between possession and non-possession?

A possession plot can be handed over to you. A non-possession plot is allotted or booked but not yet handed over, so timelines and conditions matter. Ask for the status in writing.

How do I check a housing scheme's approval status?

Ask for the approval letter and approved layout, and confirm with the Lahore Development Authority or the relevant authority. Then confirm your specific plot lies inside the approved area.

Which documents should I review before buying?

At minimum, the seller's identity and authority, allotment and ownership papers, the approved layout, proof of possession and dues, and the transfer requirements. A qualified lawyer should read them.

What extra costs should I budget for?

Transfer and registration costs, taxes, outstanding dues, development charges, and boundary or site work. For installment plans, also ask about surcharges. The budget calculator above helps you add them up.

Can I request plots in a particular budget or locality?

Yes. Name your locality and budget range in the form and we will say plainly whether we can assist there. Prices and availability are confirmed directly, not shown on this page.

How do I arrange a viewing?

Send your brief first. Where there are options to discuss, a viewing can be arranged. Bring the checklist on this page, or see our contact page.
